Given the global decline of pollinators, Portugal has embarked on developing a national strategy to safeguard this natural and functional heritage. The Polli.NET Network aims to promote pollinator conservation, sustainability of pollination services and ecosystem resilience by bringing together all stakeholders to promote knowledge transfer, training, environmental education and awareness raising.

The Collaborative Network aims to bring together the scientific community, stakeholders and civil society linked directly and indirectly to pollinators and pollination, in order to promote the transfer of knowledge between all parties and promote the training of researchers and citizens.

Cristina Luís and Esther Marín González from Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa presented the more4nature project at polli.NET’s IV Annual Meeting. More4nature collaborats with PolinizAÇÃO in Portugal on citizen science and the Pollinator Action Plan, coordinated by the FLOWer Lab, Centre for Functional Ecology – Science for People & the Planet.
